PSPX4 Change To Target brush problem
PSPX4's change to target tool has never worked right for me. I have X2 which does work right. In PSPX4 no matter what the setting it applies way too much color. Even at 1% opacity it is like about 80% in PSPX2 with all settings the same. Anyone else notice this? Latest updates installed. PSPX4 still does not like Adobe LR4 jpegs when resaving them, altought I now get an error message instead of a save that loses the file for good as some 4-8k sized file that can't be opened. I still have to use X2 for those two reasons.

All LR4 files open in PSPX4 just the jpegs and tiffs don't like being resaved again as a jpeg (saving to tiff is fine)from PSPX4, why some will save to jpeg and others won't I have not figured out, but it seems to only happen once I have worked on it and try to resave it. Not sure I can upload an example as I won't be able to save it first. Before the update many but not all would save to some tiny 4-8 k file that could not be opened and the one I had open in the workspace would have been lost. Now I get an error on the ones that won't save which is much better as I can save to tiff then resave from PSPX2. I can work around this as I only save to jpeg for the web. This only happens with files converted in LR. Older files and tiffs are fine. This was also the case in LR3. Again PSPX2 has never done this.
It's a good thing I still have X2, at least I can do everything I need. I will be really happy with X4 once these two issues get resolved. I'm using vista home 64bit on a 3 yr old quad machine with 8gigs.
Update, it seems the brush only has a problem with most of my files converted in LR but not all. Older files the brush will work on. I really don't want to spend anymore time on this because it does not change the fact that PSP4 had some quirks for me where as PSPX2 work just fine with the same files. So something is differerent in PSPX4. Hopefully X5 will fix this and keep me from going to PSCS6 when a good deal comes my way on it.

Re: PSPX4 Change To Target brush problem
X5 so far seems to be working fine regaurding the Change To Target tool. Too bad we did not get another SP for X4 before X5 came out. Update: the change to target tool sitll is buggy when using layers.
