suggestion : preset keyboard shortcuts

Post by benoit »

I have a few preset that I always use,
Few examples:
a) as starting points for either color ar back and white, with relevant plugins set at their starting point (also to add a keyword to sort b&w from colors)
b) four combination of noise reduction tools with increasing effect,
c) as a starting point for changing image format (I use only ratio 1 or square, 1.5 and 2.35) as the ony way I found to keep track of format is to add also a keyword and then I am able to sort printing output according to image ratio

The preset window is too small, and grouping by subfolder does reduce space taken but does also add several clicks every time I need the preset wich is not displayed.

Would be nice if I could use keyboard shortcuts to apply presets !

You can tag the presets so that the show up in a drop down list in the preset window title.
Perfect for your most used presets.

Thank you for the suggestion,
I agree that this offer a slight speed up as there is no need any more to click the right scrollbar (when using the intuos pen), the tagged preset list is scrolling by itself when reaching the bottom (hopfully : only nine lines is quite short).
But as I use either two or three of theses presets for each picture, I am will really looking for more direct access
One other way in addition or instead keyboard shortcuts would be to be able to customise the height of the preset area, and also to detach panels to another part of the screen !

Sure, keyboard shortcuts would be very useful. Been asking for them for a long time....
One thing that keeps me working with the mouse is the scroll-wheel, much easier to work in longer drop down lists than with my tablet (only a bamboo).
