After clicking on the "Output" button, I get the error message "Convert step got some problems! (4108)"

I have been fighting this problem as well. Very agravating but I have narrowed it down to a slideshow with both audio and transitions.

Remove the transitions and it seems to work.
Remove the background audio and it seems to work.
BUT add audio and transitions and "Convert step got some problems! ( 4108 )"

I am using Ulead DVD MovieFactory 3 trial version.
I have not actually waited for the entire encoding to complete to prove that this fixes the problem but at least it doesn't fail as quickly.

It doesn't seem to be related to the number of slides, length of the audio track, "fit slides to track lengh" or which transition you use.

Any clues?

Suggest you contact Ulead Technical Support and provide them your video clip and project file. That will be helpful and trace the error quickly.

By the way, I usually don't use DVD MovieFactory to edit my video but just burn the created video file by VideoStudio 8.0. Basically, I think DVD MovieFactory is still a very easy program to do DVD menus.

The trial version has this problem.
The downloaded EDS/purchased version original release has this problem.
Mainly with the audio files.

Even if you purchase the product unless you apply the latest update
patches the problem will still be there. The original release had many
bugs.

The program makes nice slideshows now after the patches are installed.

Hi I'm using a purchased copy of Movie Factory 3. And I get the 4108 error when I try to make a slide show with transitions and music. I eleminated the transitions and I was able to burn the disk. Thanks for that tip!
I did download the update "DVD MovieFactory 3.0 Update Pack (Build ID: 300P01, Release Date: 2004/06/03)"dmf3_patch_e.exe" and ran it, and it said it was installing Movie Factory 3, a little confusing because it didnt say anything about a patch or fix. Also it didnt help, or fix the problem.
I tried to download the other update:

something about double layers?? but couldnt get to the website.
Is there something Im doing wrong or didnt do? I paid a lot of money for this program and hoped it would work.
I am using it with my Hitachi DZ-MV350 which produces VRO files , FYI

something about double layers?? but couldnt get to the website.

That's for if you have a dual layer burner. It has a larger capacity and MF wouldn't let you create discs larger than a regular DVD.

Just for the record. I finnally got onto the download website, just kept trying over and over. I downloaded the the 2 step patch and it fixed my problem.
I can now have music and transitions with a slide show . WooHoo!

I have purchased a Hauppauge WinTV-PVR 150 which came bundled with Ulead MovieFactory 3 SE. I also hooked up my Sony DVD Burner to my PC. I came across the error (in topic) when I attempted my "Slideshow" (with Music, transition). ANyway, after reading this thread, I decided to take off "transition", but still encounter the error.

I decided to download the "update pack" "support pack" (also they had another update specific to Hauppauge). Anyway, I couldn't install the "Support Pack" as it reports "Setup cannot find Ulead DVD MovieFactory 3 installed on your system". I did install the update pack but that didn't resolv
