Capture Problem

Post by Coral »

What's wrong here ? No driver found. I can capture with other applications without problems. Including Video Studio.

Hi Coral

Before asking questions in this forum Please Read This, it gives a guide as to the information required

You are not giving enough information other than you are using DVD Movie Factory and i assume the full version not the one provided with X3.
It would help if we knew what type of capture device you are using, I assume Firewire IEEE.

Some connections can only be accessed by one program at a time, so if you have another video capture program running that may be taking control of the port.

I know if i run Win DV, then try to capture with Corel software i get the same error and visa versa.

Thank you for your reply. It is not the one provided with X3. I have used it on 2 analog capture (Yellow, White, Red RCA plugs) cards. ATI All-In-Wonder. Radeon 9600 and Compro C-500. Has not worked on both. I am aware that it is not possible to run two capture programms simultaneously.

I've not tried to use movie factory to capture analogue sources, I'm not sure it will. I think it si just for digital (firewire) capture.
The general consensus is to use the programme that came with the capture card to capture then import into the programme you want to use.

Graham,
Thank you for your reply. My hardware came with DVD Movie Factory 5 and Video Studio 11 SE. I find it strange that a more recent version of Movie Factory will not work. I have read in the Help information which mentions anolog capture cards.
