Problems with Video Studio(s)

Post by 3deeguy »

Perhaps people who have problems with their software should state whether the software was from a download or from boxed purchase. I think that some problems could be from either download glitch or Rom drive.
My VS X5 was a boxed package loaded with a new blue ray disk rom and I had no problems related to faulty program.
Just a thought.

Hi

thanks for the comments, you may be correct that some downloads don’t go as well as they should.
I have to admit I do use the download option more from a cost point.
I can purchase cheaper from the US than the UK but have to download the software.
and should things go wrong I can easily download again.
I generally do it twice anyway, to be sure................

I have had problems in the past loading software with an old cd rom drive and the problems went away when I used a newer one. I have also had problems in the past downloading updates, etc, from the net and have had to remove the whole program and reload it and the update.

I downloaded the demo and had no problems at all with the program. Since I installed the boxed version I have had several issues that have come up. As far as issues are concerned I can't see that there would be any difference between downloaded and boxed versions of the program. Downloaded files are checked by the installation program before they are installed.

The boxed version has to be installed with a CD rom Is your CD rom up to the job? Perhaps a newer or new cd rom might give give you better results.
Just a thought.
