Lenovo AACS Key Expired: Server Unable to Process Renewal

Post by kmcgrail »

I have a Lenovo W700 with Windows 7.

I have WinDVD 8.

When I launch a Blu-Ray disc, I am told that the AACS key has expired.

When I click to update, I get a page that says:

http://dkds.corel.com/dkds/home.do?cont ... CFD3077C96

Server is unable to process your renewal request

Sorry, the server is unable to process your renewal request.
Please check that you have installed the latest patch for your version of WinDVD. You can find the appropriate link below.

Once you complete the patch update, when you see the renewal message, please follow the instructions to update your AACS key.

If the problem persists, or you still have questions, you may search the Knowledge Base in the Corel Support Center, or contact us.

AACS Update Information in Corel Support.

Following the instructions, I go to: http://www.corel.com/corel/pages/index. ... toreKey=us

That takes me to:

http://corel.force.com/index/articles/e ... leshooting

Checking on Lenovo, I believe I should install this update: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloa ... D=DS019869

I have version 8.0.20.121.87834 as shown in the URL above but get get errors trying to upgrade where it says the upgrade isn't for my version which is very frustrating because it matches the logid to a tee.

If I uninstall first, I get an error as well.

Please advise.

Regards,
KAM

It seems that you need the update that will come from Lenovo, you may want to visit http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/default.page? then on the left handside... click DRIVERS and SOFTWARE from there just supply the information that is being asked and it will then give a list of software updates that you need to download, go to OPTICAL DRIVER and install the InterVideo WinDVD 8 Update for Windows 7.
