freezes on "Preparing menu audio data"

I am using VS9 and trying to fit roughly 7-8 GB vsp on a 4.7GB DVD. I use "Fit & Burn" and after 3 hours, it reached 17% Total Progress and it said "preparing menu audio data". The detailed progress said "Converting menu background music". Problem is, 6 hours later and it's still at that point yet the processor is running at 100%. According to windows task manager, the program is still running ok. Any suggestions on how to fix this?? TIA!!
