I have learned how to remove a background (thank you Hartpaul) and now I would be grateful if someone could explain how to save the relulting image as a PNG.
Thank you,

Re: Saving a PNG
Either File/Save As or press F12 and select PNG extension.
There is a third way to use Optimizer for PNG/GIFs.

Re: Saving a PNG
This is how I save all my .PNG and they have transparent backgrounds.Rosemary wrote:I have learned how to remove a background (thank you Hartpaul) and now I would be grateful if someone could explain how to save the relulting image as a PNG.
Thank you,
Rosemary
Providing you have created your image on a transparent background do the following
Go to File
Export PNG Optimiser
When the dialogue window opens, choose Use Wizard, lower left button.
Select 16.7 Million Colours (24 Bit) - click next.
Next again, Next again, Finish.
A windows dialogue will open Save Copy As: Give your file a name and click Save.
Your image will open as a transparent .PNG.
