onion skinning for precaptured photos?

Post by User123 »

Can onion skinning be made to work for photos already captured and located on computer’s hard drive? If not, what’s the point the “Open” button (top leftish of screen)?

I don't see any 'open' button in my version of X4

In any case VideoStudio is for editing videos - I cannot see how that would allow onion skinning - surely you need a graphics programme

Click the Record/Capture Option icon above the timeline, and then click the Stop Motion icon from the list. But I see now the Open button is for stop motion projects. However the Import button does allow photos to be imported from wherever you like, but onion skinning control is still greyed out.

Ok, now I see that the onion skinning control would only work if I had a camera hooked up. I missundersood the term onion skinning.

It looks like you are asking about the onion skin feature when doing a stop-motion animation. The open button that you are referring is to open existing animation project that you already saved.
