The movie clips in my "project" are not playing the audio. Yes, volume is on and I have ensured that the volume is all the way up and that the "mute" option has not been selected. Screen cap is attached of the video tab.
When I click on the individual "clip" the sound works no problem. The other audio files are also working no problem.
I should mention that the original file was an IFO file from a Sony Handicam that I converted to AVI which I dragged into the program.
Does anyone have any idea why the clips are not playing the audio?

IFO sounds like a DVD file. Does that HandyCam record to DVD?
Video studio can import directly from (homemade) DVDs. (The IFO file on a DVD doesn't contain the actual Audio/Video, but that's not the issue here, since you were able to convert to AVI.)
FYI- AVI isn't really an audio/video format. It's a "container" or "wrapper" format that can contain audio & video with any type of compreression.
What final-format do you want? i.e. Are you making a DVD, uploading to YouTube? Etc?

Can you please right click on the avi file, either in the VS timeline or library window, and copy its Properties -- and especially the audio properties -- here? Then we might have a clearer idea of what we are dealing with. Can you also tell us what program you used to convert the video to avi?
