Re: Nikon D4 NEF's not recognized
Is this file straight from the cam or downloaded via something like Nikon Transfer?
Can you make one available?
cheers

Re: Nikon D4 NEF's not recognized
Wow, I never expected Nikon Transfer to mess with the file itself.
I tried a NEF copied directly from the mem card and that works fine.
Later I found that the supplied (ViewNX2) software includes Nikon Transfer 2. Nikon Transfer 2 results in renamed files that are recognized in ASP
Sorry to be quick to panic

Re: Nikon D4 NEF's not recognized
Unless you need the Nikon Software for some specific purposes, check out the AS download queue and adjust to your needs. It renames a lot better than Nikon Transfer/Nikon View....

Re: Nikon D4 NEF's not recognized
This was an issue with Transfer back in the Bibble 4 days, IIRC. B4 had to be coded to recognise both the format on the card and as mangled by Transfer. I find it hard to trust s/w that can't even download a file from a memory card without interfering with it.
