Video Studio DV version 5.0

Post by DennisP1 »

1. Is there anyway to make this software work properly on Windows XP Pro?

2. Is there a way to read .VRO files? Drivers needed?

Help appreciated I have a decent camera Panosonic model VDR-M30PP

I can play direct to PC but can not play down loaded files.

Thanks
Den

If you have a decent camera Dennis then it's time you had the proper version of VideoStudio to edit it's video - really it's time for an update - version 9 is available now - version 5 is so old it must have whiskers on it !!!

I have VS 5 and use it only to install my upgrade to VS8, and then to VS9. Having said that, I did for nostalgic reasons and curiosity see if it would run on my XP Home. It does, but I agree with Dennis, for what VS9 can do it is worth the upgrade.

Now I will reiterate a previous post of mine. Buy the physical box upgrade or full version. Ulead has gone to crap on their electronic downloads. I'm still waiting on my second "back-up disc" to arrive for VS9. The first one sent to me was corrupt, and their d/l's seem to be on my end anyway...

Ulead has a patch for running VS5 on XP :
