Importing Multiple Angles

Importing Multiple Angles
Hi. Is there any way to import the extra angles from a DVD? There is only one box to check for each chapter but the additional angles are listed in the box above the preview window. I thought maybe clicking on them would do something but it didn't. I also tried "Select All" but only the first angle was copied.

Re: Importing Multiple Angles
If this is via the INSERT DIGITAL MEDIA, then if you cannot place a check mark on the box you cannot import it. I'll try to check if there's a work-around this process.

Re: Importing Multiple Angles
I have never had to do this before, so don't know the answer. But can you highlight one of those other Angles in the Track window and then do the Import?

The three Angles listed above the preview window are not clickable. I'm able to isolate the angles with DVDFAB and capture them as vob files but they will not go into VS. I'm converting them and experimenting. Not sure how it's going to turn out in the end. It might work, it might not.

Re: Importing Multiple Angles
Yes, I also use DVD Fab for that sort of operation. But while you are dealing with .vob files, have you tried simply converting them to mperg-2 format (DVD compatible) or simply changing the extension from vob to mpg -- that usually works...

Re: Importing Multiple Angles
Hi
Like Ken have not used angles.........
I assume you are using VS 12 (X2)
Before importing ----Try de-selecting the "title" box and selecting the "chapter" box.
If you copy the Vob files from disc to your hard drive, rename the Vob files to use Mpg extension, then try to import to timeline, right click timeline for Import video

Actually, I ran the files thru TSMuxer and converted that way. Then they went into the timeline.Ken Berry wrote:Yes, I also use DVD Fab for that sort of operation. Yes, still using X12. I remember when 13 came out and while it had a few new features it went backwards in the authoring/burning stage (from what I read here) so I stayed away from it. I am comfortable with 12 and have been afraid to "lose what I have" by upgrading.lata wrote:Hi

I tried the Chapter box, too. Same result. I have not tried renaming the files but when I played the original vob files with my VLC player the angles were switching every second (!) making it unwatchable in that manner.
The good news I was successful using the method I described earlier.
Thanks for the replies!
