Hi,
Have Microsoft webcam (HD) and corel X5 ultimate videostudio. I can record separately as a screen capture or as a webcam (after getting the update). Both individually seem to work find. However, I want to capture my webcam at the same time I am capturing a part of the screen which is displaying some information I am discussing for a webcast I am making.
Question: How do I capture the webcam and (a portion of) the screen at the same time?

The following procedure works fine on my laptop without any problems.
Click on the "Capture" tab and in the options panel select "Screen Capture" . - use that control panel to select the area of the screen you want captured but do not press the 'Start Recording' button.
In VideoStudio now select 'Capture Video' and select your webcam as the input - when you can see your webcam image in the VS preview screen click on the flashing 'Capture Video' in VideoStudio and then on the 'Start recording' button in the Screen Capture control panel.
do what you need to do.
at the end click on "Stop Capture" in VideoStudio and "end Recording" in the screen capture control - after a few seconds two thumbnails will appear in the library - one being the webcam capture and the other your screen capture.

Thank you for your reply. I didnt know VS allowed us to go back before running the video or screen capture to start the other. Your idea worked great. I tried when I got home last night and was pleased. Thank you again. It worked. I appreciate your help.
