Windvd asks for setting to wrong region.

I actually haven't been playing any DVD's locked to a region on this computer. Mostly playing Blu-ray's. I put in a disc and got a complaint that i was set to region 0 did I want to set to region 4!!!! The disc was in fact a region 1 disc. hot to get out of WINDVD Pro 11 (latest patches are applied). And then go to the hardware preference in windows 7 and set it to region 1. Within WIndvd the option to set dvd showed up but wouldn't let me select anything.
