Then I have to try myself. Got following data for the 9-18 mm and 14-150 mm lense using Hugin - It seems to work rather fine - Comments and corrections is very welcome:

begin lens
group: micro43
multiplier: 2.0
aperture: 4.0
calibrated: true
menu_lens: Zuiko Digital ED 9-18mm f/4.0-5.6
cal_abc: 9.0 0.011800 -0.042200 -0.000520
cal_abc: 10.0 0.013200 -0.043700 0.008060
cal_abc: 12.0 0.006220 -0.019500 0.005000
cal_abc: 14.0 0.011400 -0.023700 0.019200
cal_abc: 15.0 -0.008410 0.001490 0.037280
cal_abc: 16.0 0.003900 -0.024740 0.036790
cal_abc: 17.0 -0.012740 0.029550 -0.016850
cal_abc: 18.0 -0.013350 0.050040 -0.054600
end

And the 14-150 mm:

begin lens
group: micro43
multiplier: 2.0
aperture: 4.0
calibrated: true
menu_lens: Zuiko Digital ED 14-150mm f/4.0-5.6
cal_abc: 14.0 0.007060 -0.014860 -0.071190
cal_abc: 18.0 0.001770 -0.018200 -0.005490
cal_abc: 25.0 0.007470 -0.033400 0.032420
cal_abc: 32.0 0.001830 -0.009250 0.011890

I tried out the 9-18 for a few days. Your numbers look a little large and didn't work that well for me, so I tried calibrating it myself. I used a technique I hadn't seen before: I took a pictures of a busy scene in raw+jpg mode on my G3 at different scenes and then used hugin to align the raw to the camera-corrected jpg. It seems to work quite well: flipping between the corrected raw and the jpg in asp is nearly invisible. The raw has a little extra fov. There's basically no distortion in the 16-18 range, and I would turn off correction for those shots.

The only caveat is that I was focusing fairly closely (about 1/2 m). I've heard that this lens has a lot of focus breathing, so the distortion could change a little depending on focus distance. Anyway, here are my results:

begin lens
group: micro43
multiplier: 2.0
aperture: 4.0
calibrated: true
menu_lens: M.Zuiko Digital ED 9-18mm f/4.0-5.6
cal_abc: 9.0 -0.01397 -0.00132 0.00746
cal_abc: 10.0 -0.01510 0.00629 0.00151
cal_abc: 11.0 -0.01606 0.02292 -0.01323
cal_abc: 12.0 -0.01257 0.02188 -0.01427
cal_abc: 14.0 -0.00955 0.02238 -0.01717
cal_abc: 16.0 -0.00227 0.00203 0.00307
cal_abc: 18.0 -0.00053 -0.00094 0.00420
end

If you're using a panasonic body, you have to add this line to profile_panasoniclenstable.txt to get auto-detection working:

OLYMPUS M.9-18mm F4.0-5.6|M.Zuiko Digital ED 9-18mm f/4.0-5.6

Hi

yes, it definately looks better in the low end. I had to change the lens id line to this: menu_lens: Zuiko Digital ED 9-18mm f/4.0-5.6 - to get it automatic recognized.

Interesting idea. How did you do that? If I load an uncorrected + the corrected jpg into Hugin, find the control points with cpfind and optimize the parameters a, b + c (none of the others), I get absurdly high values for a, b and c. Are there any other things I have to do?

Cheers

Thanks heaps, Sesquiped. I got this lens today and was more than happy to find your calibration parameters here. They look really fine, as far as I can see from the small amount of images I made today.

Thanks again - Markus
