I have been working with Bibble for more than 4 years now, following a simple but efficient workflow. IPTC keywords will be embedded into the RAW file (Nikon NEF) before processing with Bibble / ASP. Now I found that ASP does not recognize embedded IPTC data while Bibble 5 still does on the same file (no XMP sidecars available), even Capture One 6 and Adobe Lightroom can recognize the embedded IPTC data.
Does anyone have an idea to work around this annoying issue?
Thanks,
Markus

Re: Embedded IPTC Bug???
Sample file would be good.
What do you use to embed IPTC in the NEF? Could you also embed XMP?
cheers

Re: Embedded IPTC Bug???
... a sample file can be found at http://www.wachovius-photography.de/JAl ... 3_6096.NEF .I just added one keyword and changed the "Credit", "Copyright" and "Source" Tags within IMatch.
The Metadata Windows in ASP does not show any of these and the resulting JPG neither.
Thanks for your support,
Markus

Re: Embedded IPTC Bug???
Seems to be an ASP/IMatch bug.
Since some time I ingest and fill IPTC with Photomechanic and embed in NEF (D80 and D7000), no xmp sidecar. ASP picks it up and displays everything , no problem.
After reading this post I added a headline using the IPTC editor in IMatch 3.6 : it did not show in ASP. Then I added it with PM, and ASP showed it just fine.
Francis
PS Something odd: I checked with Exiftool: the Headline writen in IMatch is actuelly embeded into the NEF, Exiftool sees it fine, but ASP wont display it, whereas the Headline wrtiten in PhotoMechanic is embeded in the NEF and seen by Exiftool and by ASP...
