Choosing a new laptop

Post by tchow_fl »

I am using Coreal Video Studio Pro X4 and am in the process of buying a new laptop. I have a few questions:
1) I have a choice of choosing a 7200 rpm Hard Drive or a 5400 rpm Hard Drive with a mSSD HD Cache. Which is better?
2) The video card: NVIDIA 630 with 1 GB RAM or NVIDIA 650 with 2GB RAM. I know more video ram is always better. But is it necessary?
3) Do I need the highest resolution screen of 1080P ?

Thanks for your help.

The configuration of your laptop will depend on the type of project and files that you will be working on. If say HD video then you should get those cream of the cop laptop or those gaming laptop, since these have the best configuration among laptop. If you'll just be working with SD video then meeting the system requirements will more than enough.

regarding your questions... you can check my answers below.
1) 7200 rpm Hard Drive
2) NVIDIA 650 with 2GB RAM.
3) By all means get the 1080P screen.
