Installing plug-ins

Post by JudiQue1499 »

I have a copy of Jasc Virtual Painter 3 and for the life of me I can't figure out how to make it play nice with Paint Shop Pro Photo v.12.

Can anyone help?

I would help if you let us know how you installed it, where and how you are trying to use it?

Sorry, trueblue ... I've been away for a few days and couldn't reply until now...

I was trying to install it as it is intended .. as a plug-in. I have used it with PSP v. 9 and 10 But that's no longer an option so I would like to be able to use it with PSP 12.

ANy help would be greatly appreciated.

You're not giving us a lot to go on. Can you install the plug-in? Does PSP see the plug-in? Can you not access the plug-in if it does see it? Are there any error messages? You were trying to install it as intended, as a plug-in, and........

I've never used this plug-in and it appears to be older, so may not have many users who have experience with it.

Never mind . . . I figured out what I was doing wrong!!!

Someplace I read to create a folder for plug-ins in the Languages/EN folder. I did this BUT, I named the folder "plug-ins". I changed the name to "plugins" (without the hyphen) and it works just fine! YAY !!! :D So simple . . . Duh!

UPDATE:

OKAY . . . since posting this I have added a couple of my favorites from Flaming Pear . . . And they WORK !!
