ac3 Support

Hello,

According to the product features, the software should be able to import an ac3 file. I have had no luck getting the trial version to do this, nor does any of the documentation mention how to do it. Has anyone had any success with this?

have a look at the limitations of the Trial (#6 is related to Dolby Digital Audio)

Thanks for that. I didn't read any further than at the top where it says "(Note: This trial contains all the functions of DVD Workshop 2. etc)

So, for those who have used the full version, does it handle 5.1 ac3 files and pass them through unaltered, or is there any uncontrollable downmixing that takes place?

As long as you have the Convert to Disc Template box remains UN-checked DVD compliant files will be passed through. Just for insurance make sure that the video bitrate in the Disc Template exceeds that of the clips used in the project.
