Re: installing new blue
Welcome to the forums!
Can we assume you had VS switched off when you installed the New Blue effects, and that they don't appear when you switched the program back on? Have you tried it after rebooting the computer?
I confess that I am also having a little difficulty in installing a couple of the New Blue Video Essentials packs on the computer listed under my profile. Essentials I and II loaded correctly, but there is no Essentials III and only one from Essentials IV -- yet I used the same process to load all four packs. And I have of course rebooted and switched the program off and on. Strangely, all 4 packs installed perfectly on two other computers on which I have X5 loaded and they all show up. The only difference I can think of is that this computer uses Win 7 64 bit (like you) and the other two are 32 bit. But that does not really make sense. I will report back if I find a solution.

Re: installing new blue
hello michael, do you have the older version of videostudio installed on your computer? It could be the same issue with Mercalli or Boris Graffiti plugins - http://corel.force.com/index/articles/e ... 4-Ultimate
You can just apply the steps from that link to your VS X5.

Hi
Have you tried "Resetting VideoStudio Pro X5 to its Factory Default Setting "
This will reset the library so if you need the contents, back it up first. Settings - Library Manager.

Re: installing new blue
Hi
We have Windows 7 64 bit installed on the laptop, however I have to run the program in XP compatibility mode other wise I have problems with the library content.
I guess there may be more problems as well.............
The library seems to be looking in the wrong C: / Programs file structure?
So have you tried running in XP compatibility mode.
Also I always run the programs with admin rights.

Re: installing new blue
Hi
I have to run Video Studio X5 program in compatibility mode. no need to re-install.
I have an X5 icon on the desktop that I use to launch the program.
Right click and select properties, the next window has a compatibility tab, I simply chose the XP option SP3 I think?
If it does not work or is causing more problems, just deselect it.
--------------------------------
Maybe I should have asked earlier but can you say if these NewBlue filters are additional to the program, I mean have you purchased them? or are they the ones supplied free by Corel. I assume purchased?
Some users did notice that although filters were installed they did not show in the same sub folders within the FX library, this was a little strange but probably an operating system issue.
For instance some filters only showing in the "All" page.
