unhappy customer on alpha channel tga

Post by benox50 »

Hi, I use PSP X4 , I need his TGA exporter, because strangely other tga exporter (photoshop, gimp, tga tool... ) are not compatible with my game modding tool.
I create an alpha channel from a mask that have the same resolution of my picture and use this alpha channel on my picture, I do not know how to see it like in photoshop, I mean in photoshop you can see/Edit the RGBA channels separately.

I save my picture in tga 32 bit and the alpha have black and white lines that make the alpha not usable.

Mask used to make the alpha channel :

The epic alpha channel of the exported tga :

I find it does not look like the mask and you what do you think ? lol

Also I always have this message when I save my tga :

Because of the limitations of the specified file format (and possibly the save options you've selected), the saved file will be limited to a merged image. Also as a result of these limitations, only one alpha channel will be saved. Would you like to continue?

How can I know which alpha channel will be saved if I cannot see them and I'm supposed to have only one alpha channel.

I try to create an alpha with a selection = same problem with a variation

I spend 2 houres to find the problem with my game modding tool importer and 32 bit tga
3 houres to find a tga exporter that export a compatible tga (paint shop pro) I guess the programmer of the game modding tool I use used paint shop pro tga codec or something like that , why not photoshop ... I'm a photoshop user !
and now I cant export the alpha with PSP, seriously , I'm really boored and disappointed.
