5.1 surround sound support?

Does anyone know if DVD Workshop will soon support 5.1 surround sound. I know it doesn't know, but I will soon be producing HD content on DVD and need 5.1 ability in DVD authoring. I love DVD worshop and would like to continue using it, but I need something very soon or I'll have to use Sdobe Encore and I don't like it as well.

You can ask Ulead Tech Support and give them suggestions. I think they will take your opinions into considerations for any future developments.

Strip audio out of movie stream. Convert it in 5.1 wav and resubmit it in DVD workshop. This might work to get 5.1 audio.

yes, you can convert your audio to 5.1 ac3 files outside of dvd workshop and bring it in, make sure as long as you are not trimming the video or adjust the volume and make sure the authoring info for dolbe setting is set exactly you had in your ac3 file, so if you encoded it with 384kpbs then make sure in DVD workshop it's set same then it will not be re-encoded and it will retain as 5.1 otherwise, it will come out as 2 channel surround dolby.

I do wishes Ulead would come out a better solution but so far it's been working.
