Image Problems

Hi People
I would realy like you opinions on this!
Just bought a new camcorder first time using it i get this

It was taken at a party as you can prob see it happend a lot on the clip so not happy!
the light level are not as dark as it looks at the bottom of the image!

Ive never come across this sort of thing before & cannot find any info on it?
any advice would be very handy.
sorry if this is not the correct forum for this sort of question but i figured in a round about way this is to do with VS :?

Hello Pete,

Better check with the user's manual of your camera first, if there is a setting that you need to adjust in order for it to properly adjust to the lighting condition. From the looks of things the light that is cast on your subject is a spot light which explains why it's too bright.

I found out the problem its nothing as simple as a setting unfortunately!
It does have a name CMOS Rolling Shutter
It's a limitation on a cmos sensor (almost all new camcorders use a cmos sensor)
cmos sensors record a image line by line & not as with a CCD sensor image at a time,
this is why this happens.
this also give another effect "The Jello effect" there are some funny effects with this!
