[BUG] Pinned elements hide when scrolling the Directory View

Post by Jarkod »

In the Bibble 5 Pro when I pinned e.g. the Catalogs they stayed at the top of the left panel regardless which tab I swiched to, Library, File System or Output. In AfterShot Pro the pinned tab becomes a part of the rest of the tabs and when I scroll the Directory View, the pinned element hides below the top toolbar. The attached file shows partially hidden Catalogs element when I scrolled down the Driectory View.

Welcome to the brave new world of Corel-inspired UI improvements. Look at the horizontal scroll bar in the file system window in the right side panels for another example. You have to scroll all the way down vertically in order to be able to scroll horizontally. While some of Corel-inspired changes are good, many of the UI ones are not. The more people tell the monkey the better.

Edit: I see you posted separately about the horizontal scroll as well. Same comment applies.

I am guessing you used "improvements" ironically.

I don't think it's the intentional UI improvment but rather a side effect of the changes Corel applied to Bibble. Whatever it is, it's not what users'd ask for.

There should be a user controllable divider between the pinned and the other section.
But whoever implemented the current design does not seem to have the slightest clue about usability.

Send bugs to the Monkey // AfterShot Kickstart Guide // sRGB clipping sucks and Adobe RGB is just as bad
