Eraser bug

Ok, I've had Paintshopro7. Now the layout is nice, but for some reason both the background and non background eraser takes the whole image instead of the smudges. I tried tutorials but they do NOT answer this question. I tried even making another layer-no luck. I can't seem to find any Eraser options on there. It's like it's missing. I installed it 2 times. Any ideas?

I'm not sure I understand your issue but here's something that may help.

Select Eraser tool from the left side bar. Then in the 'Tools Options' make sure you have a suitable size selected. You may have to open the 'Tools Options' to see this info.

This can be a problem with PSP 7 running on Windows 7, since PSP 7 was release way before Windows 7 or even Xp was being developed. You may want to try the latest version, PSP X4, you can download the full working trial version at http://pnoy.me/coreltrials
