My apologies if this has been asked before.
Regarding VSX5 Titles/Menus
In the finalised DVD the menu page appears only for a maximum of 30 seconds before continuing to play the movie. Is it possible to introduce a 'Pause until play is selected' option?
That is to say no automatic playing of the movie until the user decides.
Again my apologies but I am a novice.

Re: Menu Pause
That's interesting John - none of the menus I have ever used has had that ability - the whole object of a menu is to allow user input to start the video(s) - I assume you only have the one video on your DVD and no chapters.
I presume you went through the "Share>>Create Disc>>DVD" path then chose one of the menus from the gallery - could you say which one you used - Smartscene,Thumbnail or Text and which picture and I'll try and replicate your problem.

Re: Menu Pause
Sorry, what I didn't make clear is that the movie plays in the embedded centre template section. The one I used was a Thumbnail type as in the Marc Bech Book.
I have got round the problem by selecting 'Hide Object' and just having the Title and play button on the screen but I would like the first section (chapter) to repeat or pause/halt in the centre template before continuing.
Hope that makes sense?

Re: Menu Pause
OK - what you need to do to stop the video playing in the thumbnail is use the edit facility for the menu.
In the create disc module when you get to the page where you select the menu look to the top of the menu thumbnails and you will see it has two tabs - 'Gallery' is selected by default - next to it is 'Edit' - click on that. Down the left hand side you will now see a check box against "Motion Menu" click to uncheck that and if you have just a single video the thumbnail picture will remain static showing the first frame of your video.
However - if your video has chapters then you are able to change which frame shows in the Thumbnail - right click over the thumbnail and choose "change the scene thumbnail" to access a small editor which allows you to scroll through the chapter to fine a suitable scene.
