Sorry, but you can't seriously expect an answer when you give us so little information. What is the original format of the video in your project (right click for properties)? What type/format of video are you trying to produce, apart from the fact it is 3D? Is it PAL or NTSC? We need to know that -- or rather you do -- so you can divide the frame number given in the error message by either 25 (PAL) or 30 (NTSC) to work out how many seconds are involved and then find those spots in the timeline and see if there is anything strange happening about that spot.

From my previous posts I thought you guys could figure it out. But here goes. The clips are from my Sony HD 3D camera. I live in Canada so its NTSC and the format is AVCHD (30 FPS). Rendered seperately as AVCHD 3D all the clips go through the process OK. The error is delivered near the end of the process so the error does not make sense. If I change the order of the clips I still get the same error sometimes it says frame 724 sometimes it says frame 1024. I have tried other clips downloaded from my camera and I get the same error. If I process my clips as MP4 HD 3D no problems. If I process all the clips seperately then insert them into the timeline and burn a AVCHD 3D DVD no problem. If I preview each clip before rendering I can t detect a glitch or anything. VS X5 just refuses to render beyond 6 plus minutes....

It appears the problem is not one of length but just that VS X5 cant render multiple HD 3D clips!!! I have rendered individual clips over 6 minutes long without problems. VS X5 just refuses to render multiple HD 3D clips.
Funny thing though, viewing a clip while rendering shows the the left and right image being rendered out of sync with each other and also short lived freeze ups. Sometimes it looks as if the left image is playing fast catch up with the right . WEIRD!!!!!

Hi

Sorry but i have not had time to read your other posts, and to add that i do not use 3D video so probably not the one to reply....

However disabling Smart Render may help if you are having problems rendering the video, At least its worth a try?

Just tried with smart render off on a 3 minutes 8 clip sample video and it worked. But on an 8 minutes 36 clip sample went about halfway and gave me a frame 424 unreadable with a warning code: 18005:1:1 Turned off non square pixel off also and retried but get the same error. Thanks anyway lata. Much appreciated.

I am beginning to suspect that the problem is not with my VS Pro X5. I do have 2 sets of clips that I took with my 3D camera that rendered flawlessly.
I suspect that if I don t disconnect my camera correctly and I don t reformat my camera memory before shooting again I corrupt my video.
I distinctly remember formatting my camera memory to erase all clips in my camera for at least one set of clips.
This is a problem that I have encountered with USB keys if they are not removed properly. My camera memory is probably of the same type.

Hi

I assume the clips are Transport Stream, some cameras produce both MTS and MT2S types.
What you get depends on how you upload the video.

Some cameras have software to transfer the clips to the computer.
Or using the camera as a hard drive to "copy and paste" from the card produce these different extensions.

Some users have had issues with the different types

If you use the recommended Sony download software (PMB) you get m2ts clips. If you merely use right click drag and copy you get mts clips. I have used both methods to download from my camera to produce MP4 HD 3D with no problems whatsoever. As a matter of fact I clicked on the first shot and selected all by using ctl A and then right clicked and dragged and copy and then rendered my MP4 HD 3D file.
I will do another set of test using the Sony PMB software to download and will reformat my Sony camera solid state memory drive before shooting some footage and see what happens. And I will follow the recommended disconnect method for my camera.

Finally here is what works.
First of all I updated the Sony recommended PMB (Picture and Movie Browser) software.
Don t use the PMB launcher to download your Sony Full HD 3D clips from your camera (HDR TD10) as it will download them in My Picture folder as MTS.
Click on the PMB icon then click on file and import digital media. Follow the instructions. Your clips will be downloaded in My Videos as m2ts .
Before physically disconnecting yor camera from the computer click on the little triangle at the bottom right of your screen (Window 7 64 bits)
The USB Key icon is really your camera. Click on the USB Key icon and click on the eject HDR TD10 camera. Then disconnect your USB cable. If you don t do this then you will have to reformat your camera solid state drive as will be corrupted.
To render your clips as AVCHD 3D side by side in VS X5 insert your clips in My videos into the timeline.
Don t use the path: share create 3D AVCHD ...... for some reason it doesn t work right. Instead use this path: share create AVCHD click options click 3D simulator (leave depth at 70) click side by side click ok name your file click save. It will be saved in the same folder as the clips you are rendering.
It took a lot of experimenting to be able to render multiple clips of varying length but this works. You can then burn your rendered file to regular recordable blank DVD disks. I was able to burn 30 minutes of really impressive 3D footage and it was well worth the effort to achieve this

Hi 3deeguy

Thanks for the feedback, very glad you have managed to get the video edited correctly.

3D video editing is relatively new, certainly I have not started using it as yet.

I am sure that other 3D users will find your reply useful regarding the workflow.

Also nice to know that the program produced good quality video.

Good luck with your editing........

Still a slight error, of no consequence, when inserting AVCHD 3D in the timeline (unless Corel recently fixed it). The duration of the inserted clips appear both for the timeline and also in the view screen!!!
