I work at a fast pace, so I need the new layer button, in the toolbar to be available to me.
When I click new layer via the toolbar UNDOCKED to add a new vector layer, the options disappear.
However, If the layer menu is docked, I can click it.
I'd like to know if this is happening to other people and if there will be a fix for this?

Yes, that's a bug that has been around since the beta. Not sure what is taking so long in getting a fix.
Now are you talking about a custom toolbar? Or the toolbar on the Layer Palette itself?
If you're talking about a custom one I can make a toolbar by dragging the necessary commands onto it and they are available whether docked or undocked. It's only when using it from the layer palette that I see the issue you mention.

Re: New Layer Tool Bar does not allow new layers
I meant the layer palette. I let it float on the left side with the color menu. I am still getting used to this version. I have been using psp7.04 for FOREVER and this is just so different to me. I noticed that after I installed the second service pack, that it stopped doing it while it wasn't docked. Then I did something that made the program work slow and when it sped back up it didn't work anymore.
Anyways, I suppose I can get used to the way it is.
And since the service pack update my images don't auto tab anymore and I LOVE IT. That was so annoying!
