Audio volume drops when 2 clips overlap

Just a question regarding volume levels in MediaStudio Pro 7 Video Editor. When I have 2 clips containing audio that overlap in the timeline the volume seems to be automatically reduced on both clips. This happens for both audio attached to a video clip and for other audio clips such as music added to the additional tracks. I would prefer that the volume is not affected by adding extra audio tracks.

Is this a setting that can be turned off?

I've looked everywhere for this option but can't seem to find it. Any help greatly appreciated.

That problem was fixed with the first of the MSP 7 patches. Did you apply any patches to yours?

Not as yet, still trialing the software, good to know it won't be an issue if I get the full version.
