Svideo capturing gives a black and white picture

Hey all,

new to videostudio 9 and i'm having some trouble capturing video from vhs. I am using a svideo adapter which plugs into the scart socket on the video player but im geting a black and white capture. If i use composite i get colour but the difference in quality is very noticable.

Can anyone help plz?

It's probably the cable -- have a look at svideo.com.

The s-video cable may well give a black and white output if you do not have an S-VHS VCR. Is the s-video socket you are using actually on the VCR itself or is it on a scart adapter - those will usually only give black and white.
