Hello AfterShot Pro users,
I would just like to ask gently, if anyone here is using a Nikon 1 with the NEF-format of the pictures in conjunction with AfterShot Pro. To get a little bit of feedback, if they are satisfied with the results.
Sometimes, I get really good results, using the auto-correction, sometimes not. And I currently I can not figure out, with which parameter I should work the get the results, I would like to see. Maybe I should invest some more time, before asking, but if I would get some positive results from other Nikon 1 users, that would show me, that I am on the right way.
Maybe you could point me to a good book about AfterShot Pro?
Susanne.

Re: AfterShot Pro and a Nikon 1
Hi Susanne,
I'm using a V1 with Aftershot and I have no quibbles with it. Maybe you can be a bit more specific?
Sometimes underexposed images will have quite a bit of noise, but the Noise Ninja noise reduction works pretty well.
In any case, no issues with the majority of NEFs from my V1.
Regarding the book, afx and myself are just about to finish the Aftershot Survival Guide. Expect it to be released soon-ish

Hello marcof,
thanks for your answer!
Waiting for your AfterShot Pro Survival Guide!
I read the AfterShot Pro Quick Start Guide and that helped me a lot. Especially the tip about the auto-correction. I set it to 0.01 and the results are a lot better. Interestingly even in the photos, that I found good after the first adjustments.
I will now use the "new" setting and see, if the results are satisfying me.
If not, I will ask again
with an example.
Susanne.
