Create Video showing through a Title
I have been trying to create a short video that will show some video through a title. I have found a Corel Tutorial on how to do this but it seems to be for an earlier version of VS since I do not see some of the screens in X5 that are shown in the tutorial. I am still basically a beginner with some of the VS features so may have easily overlooked the process. Has anybody done this with X5 and could you list the steps on how to do it.

Hi
You can make the text transparant, but can you post the URL of the tutorial so i can see exactly what you want

I now see that it is from a X3 tutorial so the screens are a bit different

Hi canuck
You should be able to use the same approach in creating that effect.
To list the procedure
1 / Create a Title--use a large font--Green colour
2 / Create an image of the title, no need to use the Painting Creator--take a snapshot.
Make sure you are in Project Playback--then Edit--Take a Snapshot
3 / Remove text/title clip from timeline
4 / Place image in overlay track, should be copy in library.
5 / Right click preview screen and Fit to Screen
6 / Using the Mask and Chroma Key affect, remove the green colour, this makes the text transparent
7 / If you haven’t already done so add a clip to the top track.
