I just rendered a video slide show that liberally uses pan and scan zooming for every photo and it looks like garbage. It's jumpy and jerky with almost every pan and scan. I used the highest mpeg conversion quality but didn't mess with much else. Is there something I can do to make it not do that? It seems like it gives you the option to use a different mpeg rendering engine if you want...is that the issue or is it something else?
What a drag. It took me 2 weeks to put this thing together and the final version looks like crap.

Welcome to the forums!
What were the properties you used to make the slideshow? With a slideshow, you would normally use Frame Based as the field order, rather than the defaulty Upper Field First. Try that and see if it makes any difference.

Re: Rendered video is jumpy during pan and scan
It is usually a good idea to see if what you have planned actually works and gives acceptable output before you spend a lot of time on it.
I liked using VS for editing, but the fact that it couldn't output at acceptable quality and Corel's apparent lack of interest in fixing that just made me give up on the program. With CS6 coming out last month their subscription model made it a whole lot more interesting, especially since I also used CorelDraw. I mostly wanted it for Photoshop, but the ability to do video and my vector graphic requirements made a better choice allthough it costs a little bit more than what I normally pay annually for upgrades to my graphics suite.
