Pop-up sales pitches
Does anyone know how to de-activate the annoying pop-up sales pitches that appear when you open PSP? I click the do-not-show boxes, but they continue to hound me. Really rude of Corel to saddle paid users with these pitches!

Re: Pop-up sales pitches
I too have never received any 'sales pitch' when opening PSP X4. I only get the usual splash screen for the program itself. Then it opens... Nor have I disabled anything.

Re: Pop-up sales pitches
I get it every once in a while. Usually if you click the "dont show me this again" box it won't open again, but occasionally that doesn't work. I suspect it has something to do with security software not letting Corel's program change something at the last minute.

Re: Pop-up sales pitches
Can you post a screen shot of the pop up that you are referring? Also tell us where you bought the PSP that you are using?oldSarge wrote:Does anyone know how to de-activate the annoying pop-up sales pitches that appear when you open PSP? Re: Pop-up sales pitches
Yeah, I only get those when I close PSP. SO that's weird but maybe these tips will help.
To get rid of them completely:
Go to the help menu and select "Corel Guide" in the dialog that pops up you'll see a picture of some gears next to the "Messages" tab. Click on those and select "Messages Preferences" and deselect the option that keeps you up to date on the latest advantages.
To get rid of the ones you already have:
First, make sure you can see hidden folders. If you can't you need to go into your folder options (Open Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) and hit the Alt key to reveal the menus. Go to Tools -> Folder Options) , click the "View" tab and in there is an option to turn on or off hidden folders.
In your C: drive is a folder called "Program Data" in there is a Corel folder. In the Corel folder is a "Messages" folder. Delete it.
