Hello,
I just created a project with many different clips. Some of them play perfectly while others are jerky in playback. The original videos were imported to Correl from video files downloaded from the internet. Some of them are MPEG and others are AVI. It seems that the MPEG files play fine while the AVI files are slow. Not sure why this is since I created another very similar project and the AVI files in that project played back fine. Any ideas on what's going on here?

Welcome to the forums!
Unfortunately, though, you have not really provided enough information on which to base a sensible reply. OK -- so you have mpeg and avi files. But what kind of mpegs? There are video mpeg-1, mpeg-2 and mpeg-4: which are yours?
As for the avis, there are over 800 video formats which use that extension -- so which are yours? If you right click on the files in either the Video Studio timeline or library window, you can then choose Properties to see what they are exactly. I suspect they might be in fact DivX or XVid mpeg-4s which nonetheless call themselves avi. But first you have to make sure you have the codec installed on your computer. And if they are by chance high definition DivX , then you probably need a reasonably powerful computer to play them smoothly. But you haven't told us anything about your computer either.
So get back to us with this sort of information, and hopefully someone will be able to help.
