Dump File

Post by sherman39 »

Using X5 I was importing a .MTS file, something I have done successfully many times before. This time X5 produced a .DMP file with the message to copy the file to Corel for assistance.

Excuse my ignorance but how do I contact Corel and copy the file to them?

The error message was: c:\users\paul\appdata\local\temp\vstudio_15.1.0.34_20120604_153459.dmp which I confess means nothing to me.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards

Paul

I forgot to mention that the file that "crashes" VS X5 and X2 plays in splash lite.

You can find ways to contact Corel by logging in to your Corel.com account and from there you will see a link on how to contact COREL Support. You also try contacting the Corel Chat Support if you want to immediately talk to them.

For the error that you are getting, you may want to follow these steps first.
1. You can try resetting the program by follow these steps.
2. Click on Start.
3. Click in the search box at the bottom of the Start menu .
4. Type in: %appdata% and hit enter.
5. In the window that opens, find the Ulead Systems Folder.
6. Open the Ulead Systems folder.
7. Open the Corel VideoStudio Pro folder.
8. There should be a 15.0 folder listed here. If you have older versions you might have a 13.0, or 12.0 etc.
9. Rename 15.0 to 15.0_old.
10. Restart the program then open VideoStudio.

Thank you Abiel.

Unfortunately that did not help. The file still causes the program to crash and produce a .DMP file.Other MTS files using the same camera and SD card are OK.

In case it helps anybody, I decided to use a different program to separate the video and audio. The video on its own imported into VS X5 with no issues. I'm guessing the audio was corrupt.
