Version 5 and iTunes? Thinking about upgrading

Post by texasmaverick »

Have read a few of the posts in this board and couldn't really get an idea of how compatible those two programs are on the latest version...I've had the last several vesions of Video Studio going back to about 7-10 years ago...is iTunes on a computer along with VideoStudio still causing some users problems, or is it common, or been totally fixed? Thinking about upgrading to 5, but kinda like having my itunes at the same time without having to adjust my quicktime version or whatever. Just curious...

I have the both iTunes and 4 versions of VideoStudios on my computer, so far I don't see any conflict between the two. But if you are referring to the problem between VideoStudio and quicktime, that is totally different issue. The best thing to do is to download the trial and see if the "PROBLEM" that you've been reading happens on your end. The problem that happens on someone else computer may not happen to you or others. Since no two system are exactly the same.

For once, I agree totally with Abiel!  I must be one of the lucky ones since I have used the latest version of Quicktime in various versions of VS from X2 onwards, and have never had any problems. But as Abiel says, no two computers are the same, and a lot of other users still have problems, having to revert to the version of QT which comes with VS. And that of course then won't work with iTunes... But I have no idea why the latest QT works for some but not for others...
