Cool 3D 3.5-Dimension Resizing

Post by hobbyokie »

New user (rookie) to the product and have at least one question.
After creating an object and saving, it also saves the backgound in the window which is a lot of unnecessary white space (or color).
How can I save the object without all of the rest of the space?

The Image:Dimensions:Use Background Image Size button is also inactive.

Thanks for the help. :D

If you save as an avi, you can set the background to be transparent, effectively removing the square.

This was my reply to exporting transparent titles:

If you have COOL3D 3.5 you have the following features. Under File column, Create Image Files. If you select TGA, under TGA options you have checkboxes for Transparant Background and image sequence. You also have the transparent checkbox for GIF. Under Create Animation Files. Video Files, you can create a 32 bit avi with alpha channel which makes the background transparent. Or create GIF Animation Files and again check the Transparent Background box. Final option is to save as native .c3d file and import into Ulead video editors. Video Studio and Media Studio Pro both support alpha channels, so again the background will be transparent. As you can see, these are the many ways of creating transparent titles, logos and models for overlay in your video projects. Hope this helps.

I used what has been suggested and they all worked well.

One other question if you do not mind. The workspace the text resides in is still too large and consumes page space unnecessarily.

How do I change the dimensions of this workspace to minimize the box the text is in? It would seem that would be a preference that could be changed.

Thanks. Hobbyokie.
