VSPx5 Plays for 2 seconds and stops

Hi

My video studio pro x5 plays for 2 seconds and then stops in my timeline. This occurs after I've splt and deleted some audio and/or put in a transition. Here are my computer specs:
Brand: Dell Laptop
Processsor Intel(R) Cor (TM) i7 CPU Q820 #1.73GHz 1.73GHz
Ram: 8GB
System Type: 64 Bit Operating System
Pen and Touch: Pen and Touch is available through 80 touch points

Could you also give details of the file type, right click in the timeline and choose properties, and also which transitions etc you have used.

Not much information in your post. Are you playing the whole project or just a clip?
How long in time is the project? How long in time is the clip you are trying to play?

The video is a WMV2, 24 bits 1024 x768, 29.982 frames/second; Audio is windows media audio version 4, aspect ratio is 1.33 x 1.00. It is editable. I am trying to play the whole project but no matter where I scrub it will play only 2 seconds if that. Here's how my timeline looks:

BLACK GRAPHIC = 2 SECONDS; TRANSITION (FADE TO BLACK) = 2 SECONDS; 10 SECOND CLIP; 3 SECOND CLIP; 00:42:33 CLIP.

It could be a problem with codecs. Here are some of the codecs that you may want to install.
