Saving single clips from a full project
After realising the Mercalli runs better on single clips, is there a way of editing a clip within a project and saving (after "creating" this clip only) and then reinserting into the project?

Um--- yes of course.
If you want to export just a little bit of your whole project as a clip then read this topic :- http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... 61&start=0 - then you have a clip you can use over and over again.
If you already have a single clip then after you have done your editing go to 'Share >> Create Video File' - choose an option - possibly 'same as project settings' - name your new clip and save it - then you have a video clip you can re-insert into as many projects as you like.

Hi Brian,
When I follow your instructions the "preview range" is greyed out. What am I missing?

Do you have the orange line showing over the timeline when you have selected a segment.

Nope. I'd forgotten to change back to "project" before using the mark-in/mark-out tabs. It works a treat. Thanks.BrianCee wrote:Do you have the orange line showing over the timeline when you have selected a segment.
