PAL to NTCS

THis is a bit off topic, but need some help and advice.

I have a few PAL VHS tapes, my VCR is not and will not play PAL tapes. I have the Dazzle DVC-150 capture card. Is it possible to use this VCR to play the PAL tapes and convert it to NTCS format on my PC through the Dazzle card, and Video studio V9??

I live in a NTCS area (north america) and dont want to spend hundreds of dollars on the proper VCR to do this with.

well if your VCR will not play PAL tapes, then obviously you cannot use it to output to your capture device and convert to NTSC, since it will not play the PAL tapes, I am not totally sure, but I think you may need to buy a cheap PAL VCR.
