Hi,
When saving using PNG optimizer I can obtain transparency selecting a single color (image attached), what is handy, but implies to save the image! When handling images in files as PSPImage, PNG, GIFF, is there any way of obtaining transparency besides using PNG optimizer? I mean, I would like to obtain transparency any moment, without being need to save the image...
Advance thanks!
Is there way of obtaining transparency besides PNGoptimizer?

When editing, areas that you deleted and do not have images in it are automatically converted by the software as a transparent section. This will only change if you save your images as .png, .jpg, or .gif.

Re: Is there way of obtaining transparency besides PNGoptimi
Thanks for answering.
Actually, I was thinking whether PSP would be able of "obtaining transparency" in similar way GIMP is able. I mean, considering an image that has a unique/simple color as backuground, it is just to select in GIMP menu "color=>color to alpha". After that, this color will disappear, being replace by transparency.
In GIMP, it can be used anytime. Something similar in PSP I found out using PNGoptimizer, but it is able to be used just when saving image, not anytime as in GIMP.
It seems PSP isn't able to make that, am I right?

1. Make the image you want to a full raster layer. (Promote background layer)
2. Magic wand and select the colour you want transparent and delete.
You may have top change the tolerance and selection modes to get best results.

Hi,
The magic wand works, but isn't so handy and ease as GIMP "color to alpha". See that:
