Hi Kenneth

It does seem to be getting a little complicated for something that should be simple.

First if you are creating a slide show then you may not want to fill the screen, and using Picture in Picture may do what you want.

Yes you can re-size the images in the top track in a similar manor to the Overlay tracks, first you have to select the clip in the timeline then "distort" option from the Attributes tab
You will now recognise the yellow re-size handles seen in the overlay tracks.

Now treat the clip just the same as in the overlay track, including Copy and Paste attributes

When you resize be aware of the "Safe Area" thats the large rectangle, usually visible when creating text.
Anyhow anything outside the rectangle may not be viewable on the TV. Also known as OverScan.
