I use Olympus micro43 E-P1 and OM-D camera's and when I use my Panasonic Lumix 14 mm F2,5 it is not recognised automatic in ASP. I have to choose it manually. All other lenses I have, Olympus and Panasonic, is ok. I have checked the file: profile_olympuslenstable.txt - it has this entry for the lens:
3 2 16|Lumix G 14mm f/2.5
and the file: profile_micro43.txt has this:
begin lens
group: micro43
multiplier: 2.0
aperture: 2.5
menu_lens: Lumix G 14mm f/2.5
cal_abc: 14.0 0.000 -0.029 0.0000
# cal_abc: 14.0 0.005 -0.037 0.015 perhaps also acceptable parameters as per ulfs
end
Anybody out there that can point me in the right direction to correct this annoying 'glitch'

Re: Lens not recognised automatic
I don't think ASP recognises this lens automatically with any body. I have also used it with Pana GF1 and Pana GH2 and it isn't recognized with those bodies either.
Re: Lens not recognised automatic
Thanks for that - It must be the way the lens is read from the exif that is wrong. Is there any way to check what is returned in the exif ?. If I read the exif in exifpilot pro it says: Lens Type: 2 0 16 16 0 17 if I use both cameras - I thougt ths should be in plain text.
I will try to solve this one way or another.

Re: Lens not recognised automatic
It is an ASP bug, so log it with the monkey. I suggest you include one of the offending files from each camera.
I can do the same with one of my GF1 and GH2 files as well.

Re: Lens not recognised automatic
If you change the lines in profile_olympuslenstable.txt as follows - the lenses will be automatic recognised:
0 17 16|M.Zuiko Digital ED 45mm f/1.8
2 16 16|Lumix G 14mm f/2.5
It is the numbers 0 17 16 and 2 16 16 that id the lens. I found these numbers using an exifpilot pro. With these values you just press 'reload exif' for older images and the lens is automaticly recognised with new ones. Works fine here on my ASP.

Re: Lens not recognised automatic
My camera, Nikon Coolpix P7100, is NOT recognized either, even though I added it to the profile_nikon.txt myself. I simply copied the data from the Nikon P7000 and remnamed it to P7100, since they have the same sensor and lens.
But anyway, I was surpised to see that the data for the P7000 is always 0.00, though this camera has quite some lens distorsion...
