In VSPX5 as in VSPX4 one is able to add their own folders under Samples. I had created a very nice list of items filled with images, videos and music of my choice only to find, one day I open the software and they are all gone. I had the very same thing happen in X4 and now in X5. Why isn't this software remembering one's custom features?
Does anyone have a clue what the cause may be?

Re: Disappearing Custom Folders
Hi Maureen
Are you saying that this happens every time.
You create a new folder, when re-booting Video Studio the folders are gone.
Most items added or changed by the user are saved in a folder called en_US, you can find this folder here:-
C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro\15.0\en-US
This is the folder that you would delete to restore the programs workstation back to the initial installed state.
From Settings-Library Manager you are able to Export the libraries, should you wish to do so.
You can also Reset then to the default library.
The question is do you loose the new library pages each time you re-start the program?

Re: Disappearing Custom Folders
Hi Trevor,
There are none if my customised folders in the Ulead Systems folders under en-US. It looks like they've gone! There aren't any in my X4 either.
It has happened to me several times before when I just had X4 and now it's happened in X5, just this once.
I just don't know what's deleting them and reverting my VSPX5 back to default.
I had about 6 folders...... video, images and a couple that had custom music and videos.

Re: Disappearing Custom Folders
Hi Maureen
The library folders are called
VS_Video.dat
VS_Title.dat etc
Before X4 we were able to save these files, copy and paste to revert to an older library.
The new structure of the library has complicated things, changing these files may cause the program not to run?
There was an issue where some files tagged as Read Only caused the new data not to be saved.
But this would occur every time you started Video Studio.
Can you confirm that your library works normally most times, and the problem only arises on occasions?
For the time being i can only suggest you backup the library by using Settings-Library Manager-- Export library, at least till we find the problem..........

Re: Disappearing Custom Folders
I haven't made any further libraries yet due to the screen capture issue.
Once I get that out of the way, I will make and save my libraries and see if that helps.
