3D wrong tag

Post by 3deeguy »

3D clip is downloaded from sony 3D cam hdr-td10 via USB cable using PMB software and into my Gatewayfx 6860 computer. Drive C: is solid state HD 128 Gig. Data HD (D:) is 2 tera byte speed7600 rpm.
Problem seems to be that 3D clip is tagged multiview video coding instead of multiview image.
Downloaded file format: NTSC HDMV (m2t) video type ish.264 upper field first 24 bits 1920 x 1080 16:9 29.97 fps var bit rate (21.999 mbps) Dolby digital 5.1 sound 48000 HZ 448 kbps.
Edit file format NTSC dropframe (29.97 fps) MPEG file 24 bits 720x480 upper field first DVD ntsc 16:9 video data rate var (max 8000 kbps) lcpm audio 4800.
Trying to create 3D clip to copy onto USB key to attach to Blue ray player USB port to play on my 3D TV. Blue Ray player is samsung BD e5900. 3d TV is samsung 40 inch smart TV BD player will only accept DVD FILE in 3D and not Blue-ray nor AVCHD

Well, after working on it for a week, late into the night I finally found a way to do it. A blue Ray 3D FILE doesn t work nor any other listed 3D file format if you want a full HD 3D. i.e. 1920 x 1080 16:9 stereoscopic high definition file that will be accepted by Samsung BD 3D BD-E5900 Disc player USB port.
If anyone else wants to know just ask and I will explain the right procedure. It doesn t seem to matter if the tagging is MVC or MVO. What matters is which format the player will accept.

Hi 3deeguy

Welcome to the forums

Thank you for the information regarding 3D

I don't own a 3D TV or player so the problem is not really relevant to me, otherwise I would have replied earlier

But others on the forum would benefit from your knowledge if not today then at a later date.
The information will always be available and found via the forums search option.

So for the benefit of others can you kindly provide the correct procedure.

Much appreciated............

Well here s the whole nitty gritty of it. After complicated procedures I got contacted by someone in the know at Corel about the whole issue and this is it: : : :: Corel VS PRO 15 does tag Sony 3D video wrong. And the reason is that VS PRO 15 CANT create 3D files!!!! It can only create SIMULATED 3D file!!!. SO it locks 3D files as multiview video coding rather than multiview image. That way only one set of the image from the two lenses is used by VS 15. Then, SHARING/CREATE video file offers you the possibility of 3D SIMULATION in a variety of format. However the Samsung 3d Blu Ray DvD player s USB port does not support any of the VS 15 listed 3D format (does not support m2ts formats). So the only alternative is to create a mpeg4 file and in the option window select 3D simulator , side by side, and enter a value in DEPTH (between 1-99). You will get a full HD (1920x1080 16:9) with SIMULATED 3D. SO throw away your 3D Sony cam, any HD cam will do. If you want to see the 3D video you took with your 3D camera the only alternative is to connect it directly to your 3D TV using the supplied HDMI cable.
So Corel telling you VS 15 will create 3D popping out of your TV is false. And telling you not to use editing filters because it will cancell your 3D video and you ll onlly get 2D is also false. I am pretty well ticked off about the whole issue. Oh, and by the way, you don t even have to create simulated 3D files. Use the simulation setting on your 3D TV !!!!
