Gone back to MF3 from MF4 - but wish there was AC3 support

Post by keithm »

Well I've tried MF4 (with the you dead fix) and although it doesn't crash anymore it is painfully slow compared to MF3 - so I've gone back to MF3. I also seem to have more audio sync problems with MF4 than I have with MF3.

I do wish Ulead would stick with a product and just update it. MF3 is fine except no support for AC3: I do wish Ulead would look at patching MF3 for AC3 support.

However, I had two tech support emails running with Ulead for the you dead problem, I luckily found the fix here but I have had no email notification of a fix - reaaly a bit

DMF3 Disc creator supports AC3 audio. They have a promo right now where you can get DMF3 Disc Creator if you purchase VS9.

the promo is until Jun30 only so you might want to check it.

Can you indulge me with a guestimate here...

How much would you typically expect a 4.0 GB (VBR) VOB file to reduce if you used AC3 instead of LPCM?
