I have looked through the forum archive and although my problem was an big issue several months ago I cannot find out how it was resolved.
My B5 finally crashed on me and I went to their website to download the upgrade. I was surprised to find that they had been bought out but duly downloaded the trial version of AS.
At the end of the 30 days I bit the bullet and paid for an upgrade licence. Tried to activate the trial version but the supplied serial number does not fit in the box and I do not know what my licence name is supposed to be.
Interestingly enough, when I tried to use the supplied serial number to register the product I was told that the format was wrong but, on checking, the product had been registered to my account.
Unfortunately though, I still can’t use the serial number to unlock my trial version as it appears to be too long.
I appreciate that this is an old question and I have missed the boat by several months but please help.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Unlocking trial version
Are you perhaps using a Bibble5 serial & unlock code in ASP? I dont recall if it makes a difference (I'll find out next week when I reload my PC & reinstall both).

Thanks for your input.
No, the serial number I have tried to load is the one given to me by Corel when I bought the upgrade and confirmed by them on the emailed receipt. I tried to cut and paste it straight into the 'unlock' dialogue box of the trial version but it is just too long to fit.

Re: Unlocking trial version
You can try going to HELP menu then select UNLOCK AFTERSHOT PRO.. you should see a screen that looks like this..
even though the hypen look like their too close.. you can type or even copy and paste the serial number to unlock the program.

Re: Unlocking trial version
Thanks for your help.
That is the screen I am already working with.
Neither cutting and pasting or entering the serial code manually is successful - the code is too long and the individual groups of digits/letters will not fit between the hyphens.
The code I was sent consists of 6 groups of letters/digits as follows: 7 items - 6 items - 6 items - 6 items - 6 items - 6 items.
Is this the normal construction?

Re: Unlocking trial version
Success - had to download another trial version and it accepted the serial number first time - very strange.
