VS6: cannot find the advanced settings dialog box

Post by tkrath »

Hi,

I want to turn on deinterlace in VS6 and have tried almost everything now. However, I still have not found the advanced settings dialog box in the programme.  Could someone please guide me? I want to remove the interlace from the video.

The Ulead VS 6 help guide says:
Advanced settings dialog box
Input Deinterlace
NTSC or PAL standard videos (unlike computer monitors) use two fields to represent a single frame of video; these are called interlaced videos. Interlaced videos present a problem when played back in a computer monitor, it appears to have jagged lines. Selecting Input Deinterlace helps prevent these jagged lines from appearing.

Thanks
Thomas :)

Click on the Hammer and Wrench button and then click on Preferences. Go to the Capture tab and check the box that says Image Capture Deinterlace.

I have tried this, but it does not deinterlace the capture. What do I do wrong - the box is checked.

I work in a "PAL DV AVI" template. My preferences are as shown in these pictures:

Please help me out. Camera is a DV Canon MV30.

Funny thing about it, is that it worked out fine yesterday. The computer has only been shut off during the night and the turned on again this morning. No programmes, drivers etc. has been installed.

Thanks
Thomas

The setting only works while you capture - it does not work on video which you have allready captured.
